The deed of trust signing ceremony for the Abul Quasem Haider Trust Fund took place on 24 May 2025 in the Council Room of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (ASB). This marks the establishment of the 49th trust fund at the Society.
On behalf of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, Professor Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, General Secretary, signed the deed. Mr. Abul Quasem Haider, Founding Chairman of Youth Group, signed as the founder of the trust. Additionally, Professor Najma Khan Majlis, Council Member of ASB; Professor Ahmed Abdullah Jamal, former Vice President of ASB; and Professor Sabbir Ahmed, Council Member of ASB, signed the deed as witnesses
The founder established the trust fund in his own name, with an initial capital of Tk. 20,00,000/- (Taka twenty lac only). The fund aims to support the organization of annual lecture(s), seminar(s), and workshop(s) to be delivered or conducted by distinguished scholars and experts. These events will focus on topics such as– history, education, economy, poverty alleviation, women’s empowerment, and other important issues related to Bangladesh.
